is the retail hub for a population of nearly 25,000 people.
With all its growth and

Lincoln Regional Airport 17-35 runway extends 2,800 feet and has radio
controlled Medium Intensity Runway lights (MIRLS). Other aids include
a rotating beacon, wind indicator, segmented circle and a Unicom and
non-directional beacon. The Lincoln Municipal Seaplane Base is located on the
Penobscot River, 500 feet from the end of the airport's runway. The elevation of
the water at the landing area is 160 feet Mean Sea Level.
The Town of
Lincoln offers its taxpayers the option of participating in a
tax club to make monthly payments on real and personal property
taxes. In order to enroll in the club, taxes must be paid
in full for the current fiscal year and enrollment must be done
by June 30th. Members are required to make their monthly
payment no later than the 10th of each month to remain in the
club. While in the club, members do not pay interest or
penalties as long as payments are made on time. Once a
member is removed from the club for non-payment, interest and
penalties accrue on the unpaid portion of the taxes. For

State law and town
ordinance require licenses to conduct certain types of business.
Before these licenses are issued by the Town Council, a
New Business Application
must be obtained through the Code Enforcement Office. The
following license applications are required to be filed with the
Town Clerk at least two weeks before the Regular Town Council
meeting which is held the second Monday of each month.
