The Town of Lincoln provides a
variety of activities for residents and visitors throughout the
year. Visit this page to find up-to-date information regarding
current or upcoming events such as Homecoming, Teen Dances, and
holiday events.
Thank you to
everyone who made this year's festival a success!
If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, even
for a day, then please contact Events
Coordinator, Amanda Woodard at 794-3372 or by email at
promotion@lincolnmaine.org.
Events are made possible through generous donations from
businesses and individuals. If you would like to
make a donation to Lincoln's Homecoming Festival, send your check
to the Homecoming Festival, c/o, Town of Lincoln, 63 Main Street,
Lincoln, Maine 04457.
These monthly social events are aimed at keeping
our children involved while also promoting a healthy event.
Complete with a light show, video screen and famous DJ Chuck Foster
of 95.7 and 107.3 FM – there is no reason not to attend! Be sure to
put on your dancing shoes and check our schedule for the next
dance!
Teen dances are sponsored by the Lincoln
Homecoming Festival Committee as part of its fundraising efforts for
the summer festival. Concessions are also offered at the
dances with proceeds from food sales designated to the Recreation
Department's Sponsor-A-Child Program. Chaperones are always
needed and welcomed! Contact the
Events Coordinator to volunteer!
Dances are held at Mattanawcook
Academy from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM and are open for all regional teens ages 13-18.
This annual event which is held the first
Saturday of December at Mattanawcook Academy promises
squeals of delight while Santa ushers in the holiday season!
Families are invited to share a pancake breakfast while
entertainment is preformed. Then it’s off to the craft tables,
photos with Santa and making sure that your name is on the NICE
list! Tickets go on sale in November and it’s a special time “not
to be missed” while you celebrate the Christmas magic through a
child’s eyes!
This is not your ordinary Christmas tree!
Donated each year our Christmas tree stands in the Veterans Memorial
Square between the flag poles and is visible as you descend onto
Main Street either North or South. Decorated with at least
1600 feet of LED lights the spectrum of the rainbow is sure to make
you pause! Not only is the tree lit but so are other areas on
Main Street including our beautiful gazebo! Lights are turned on at our tree lighting ceremony the first
Friday of December and the event is attended by a crowd of spectators who
will count down the magical moment! What a great photo opportunity
for that special family Christmas card!
The Town of Lincoln holds a
Halloween Party each year at the Ella P. Burr School to give
children a place to adorn their costumes and have some fun! Several
town departments such as Public Safety and the Library join in the
festivities to promote safety and provide entertainment. Some of the
popular attractions at the event are “Jerry’s Wagon Ride of
Terror”, a bounce house and snacks.
Check back here in the Fall
for the date and time of the next Halloween party!
This weekly Friday night concert
series starts in June and runs through August and is a real crowd
pleaser! With the tranquil backdrop of Mattawancook Lake and the
gazebo housing a musical ensemble, what more could one ask for?
Music genres range from country to soft rock n’ roll. Bring your
lawn chairs and join us – you’ll be glad that you did…

schedule of Friday night concerts!
